Our Goals
To strengthen our community solidarity and economic growth by increasing tourism to the area through showcasing local arts, skills and business in the district and promoting rural living.
Our Mission
To promote, encourage and actively engage people in the participation of building a thriving community.
Our Vision
To encourage community participation and economic growth of Rushworth and the surrounding district by showcasing local business, tourism opportunities, produce, craft, talents and skills.
Rushworth and district is a culturally diverse community, with many interesting and unique people, businesses and tourist attractions. We, as a committee, have a commitment to promote the area to visitors and residents alike, not just at Easter, but throughout the year, organising activities, displays, and events, which will culminate in our main event being the Rushworth Easter Heritage Festival held every year on Easter Saturday.
It is our intention to involve as many people as possible to create a friendly welcoming environment for our big day, which will include showcasing the local businesses and stores in the township, historic places and events, involving local groups and schools and miscellaneous entertainment to celebrate our district and focus on our proudly heritage listed town, Rushworth.
We are proud of our town, and enjoy a relaxed rural lifestyle, supported by many people in a volunteer capacity. We have maintained good working relationships with neighbouring towns, Campaspe Shire Council, Police, and emergency services, local groups such as, The Historic Society, The Kindergarten, The Mens’ Shed, The Art Depot, Senior Citizens, The Rushworth Tigers (the local Football and Netball Club) and numerous other groups. We are pleased to say that many of these groups provide many of the attractions that you will discover at the Rushworth Easter Heritage Festival.
Send us a message and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
